Insomnia

Roughly 60 million Americans suffer with Insomnia and about 4% of Americans use a prescription sleeping aid.  Many of our patients who suffer with Insomnia have been greatly helped in our office through our 5 step GOOD SLEEP program:

STEP 1:

  • Comprehensive assessment of the liver, gall bladder, adrenals, thyroid, pituitary, stomach, intestines, kidneys, etc.  Quite commonly there is a major imbalance among these organs involved that disrupt sleep patterns.  Careful attention is paid to each organ involved.

STEP 2

  • Neurological assessment of brain function and nervous system function.  A breakdown in certain areas of the brain and nervous system often times are found that do not allow the patients to relax and “shut down” during bedtime.

STEP 3

  • Nutritional assessment via comprehensive blood work, saliva testing, GI testing, and hormonal testing to uncover further hidden problems not yet tested before

STEP 4

  • Emotional stress assessment via a thorough history of emotional trauma as a child, teenager, young adult, adult, etc. to pinpoint the connection between the body-mind and how it impacts the nervous system and ability to be calm and relaxed related to sleep patterns

STEP 5

  • These types of conditions require a combination of treatments like cranial alignment work, emotional stress release treatments, cold low-level laser treatment, and brain-based exercises to promote the relaxation mode for the brain and nervous system.

Through this 5 step GOOD SLEEP program, many of our patients have reported eliminating the need for sleep aids and have greatly improved not only the increased hours of sleep, but the quality of deep sleep as well.
